Bull's Eye Writing

We write fresh material for people who do not have the time or the inclination to produce effective writing. We can write a wide range of material. We are trained scholars and strong writers; we are also protean and can jump disciplines and move between styles.

This said, our Background and Experience statement underlines our limitations. We are not marketing experts or economic policy analysts. Highly technical, highly specialist material may require a different type of writer than you will find at Bull's Eye. We can, nevertheless, write a variety of intricate as well as generalist material. We have natural intellectual curiosity and an abiding love of writing. In other words, we are game for pretty much anything. (See our Ethical Policy about what we will not write).

Your Assignment

Adjusting style and voice to match the purpose and audience of a piece of writing requires sophistication and talent in an author. Capturing ideas in concrete images, snagging the important and interesting in a subject, sparing the reader a yawn or a sneer, these are also gifts. To make these talents in us work for you, we need to telescope the material so that it frames exactly what you want to see. And this requires your input.

You must define the constituents of the assignment. These are the boundaries that control our writing, and it is important that you decide them. For instance,

you may have specific information that you want to have included in the document. Your directions to Bull's Eye will state that we write the assignment using only your raw materials;

or

you may have a topic in mind, but require Bull's Eye to research and write the piece. This means that we would read and make notes on the subject, construct a thesis, create an outline and then write the piece;

or

you may ask us to ghost write a speech, a letter or a book. You may have broad as well as specific ideas that you would like to see incorporated into the document or manuscript; in other words, you have definite views about the piece, including material to be used, but need more help with writing the assignment than with its research.

We can adjust our writing to suit these and many other scenarios. We are flexible at Bull's Eye as well as intuitive, but we need a compass to navigate our writing and that compass will be your specific requirements.
